2nd Line Support Engineer

Job type: Full Time / Permanent

Salary: £21,000 + excellent company benefit

My client is one of the largest comparison providers throughout the UK. They are now looking for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their head offices based in Cardiff.

As a 2nd Line support engineer you will be responsible for increasing stake holder’s value through improving the customer’s experience by managing and supporting the IT Services and solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support and deliver a quality helpdesk service for all business users
  • Deliver excellent customer service and help with helpdesk requests
  • Identify all helpdesk issues before they occur and engage with customers to make sure they are informed of the progress
  •  Continually ensure the continual service improvement processes
  • Responsible for all IT Supplier relationships
  • Ensure the service line meets the service level agreement
  • Ensure all processes are carried out which impact all service desk requests
  • Always meet customer delivery timescales such as go live dates
The ideal candidate must have the following:
  • Desktop and laptop computer system experience
  • Active directory
  • SAM Services
  • Application packaging and patching
  • Windows technology
  • Avaya Red telephony creation and configuration
  • Voip Technologies
  • An excellent understanding of business processes
  • Ability to prioritise work schedules
  • Previous experience of audit processes
